Network Service Delivery Specialist

My client is a respected Government organisation looking for a Network Service Delivery Specialist to join their team for an initial 6 month contract.

DUTIES:

- Supporting network users, applications developers and management in the use, operation and maintenance of the networks by providing 2nd and 3rd level help desk support.
- Management and implementation of a large local area network, including bridges, Switches, Routers, wireless access points, wireless controllers and cabling.
- Undertaking all facets of communications support, including local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) in collaboration with local and remote users.
- Support and installation of Cisco Routers.
- Management of Firewalls, Proxy Servers, load balancers and other network appliances.

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE:

- Demonstrated experience in the support & implementation of a large operational network, including remote users.
- Extensive knowledge of and experience with TCP/IP
- Proven experience with use of NETWORK MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS USING SNMP
- Demonstrated experience IN IMPLEMENTING AND MANAGING A LARGE LAN, INCLUDING BRIDGES, Switches, Routers, wireless access points, wireless controllers and cabling.
- Strong experience with MANAGING FIREWALLS, CACHING PROXY SERVERS AND LOAD BALANCERS.
- Exceptional communication (written & verbal) & interpersonal skills
