Network & Security Support Engineer

FOR OUR CLIENT NEAR BRUSSELS WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A NETWORK
- Handle access requests according to the clients rules and processes;
- Search (pro)actively for solutions concerning network and/or security issues;
- Assist the business in achieving project milestones and deadlines;
- Aim at optimization and automation of the IT processes;
- Facilitate projects like VPN migrations, client security implementations, etc.
- Give 2de line support concerning network/security problems.

SKILLS:

- Bachelor or master in IT with 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent due to experience;
- Wide experience with networks within a large IT environment: LAN, WAN, switching, routing;
- Experience in managing Firewalls, IPSec VPN's, SSL VPN's and load balancers;
- Knowledge of CHECKPOINT, Palo Alto, JUNIPER SCREENOS, Juniper SSL VPN, Junos space, Cisco IOS, Cisco NXOS, Juniper Junos.

CCNA and/or JNCIA-junos certificate is a big plus
- Basic knowledge of different conventional distributed OS's (Windows, Unix, Linux, Red Hat, CentOS)
- Basic knowledge of authentication- and authorization systems (Radius, LDAP, Active Directory, PKI environments)
- Sufficient ideas about end-user and web application interfaces (Javascript, Applets, Servlets, XML, SOAP, ASP, .NET)
- Analytical skills, you're dynamic and pro-active;
- Good communication skills:

You'll inform the internal and external customers, and do the follow-up of their case. - Able to write technical and user documentation in English (and Dutch)
- Team player who is able to work alone and takes responsibility;
- Work in projects and customer focussed;
- Willing to work guard duty (24/7)
- Willing to move between Mechelen and Lochristi.
