OVERVIEW:

- Provides technical support, assists in the design, deployment, and maintenance of all enterprise systems.
- May lead small to medium sized projects independently.
- Tests and evaluates technical infrastructure to eliminate problems and make improvements.
- Creates installation and support documentation as needed.
- Provides direct support coverage for all enterprise network attached systems and physical network infrastructure including hardware, software, network tools & applications, Back Office, custom and third party business applications.
- Relies on basic experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Works with other groups in the IS Department to support projects and day-to-day operations as defined by supervisor.
- Continuously works to improve personal, technical, and business skills in order to provide the best service possible.
- On a rotational basis, provide 24 x 7 support coverage.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 5+ years experience as a Data Security Engineer or equivalent field experience
- Experience with Security, Layer Two & Three Switching, VLAN, and VPNs
- Knowledge of Checkpoint & F5 load balancer a plus
- Experience with appliance based security applications like Forescout and other intrusion detection devices
- Knowledge of various wireless network & wireless security technologies preferred
- Knowledge and experience with various OS(s) Linux/Unix or Microsoft Server Must be able to collect, understand, communicate, and verify system requirements
- Mobile OS knowledge
- Knowledge of database connectivity SQL or Oracle plus Scripting skills
- Experience in Shell Scripting
- Understanding of network protocols SSH, SNMP, NTP, Syslog, DNS, netflow
- Strong documentation and verbal communication skills
- Experience in using Visio
