Network Security Engineer/Belgium/English Speaking
Location: Brabant-Walloon, Belgium
Contract duration: 9 months with option to extend
Rate: €400
Start date: Preferably to start ASAP but negotiable
Responsibilities:
*Participate in design discussion regarding new Security technologies implementation (new DMZ, Extranet improvement, Manufacturing Network segregation, Cisco Firewall, user VPN access, ISE, URL filtering,)
*Also help with the integration of a Legacy company into the xxx network and provide guidance around Network security aspect of the integration.
*Work in close collaboration with the Corporate Architecture team for new Network Security implementation.
*The Network Security Engineer must be well versed with the advanced engineering and administration of firewall, VPN gateway, IDS/IPS,
*It would also be key for the engineer to have a good understanding of routers, multilayer switches, and network management systems.
*He will also provide guidance in large network design projects, document solution, provide configuration template, validate solution in a test environment
Requirements:
Excellent communication & presentation skills with good project management experience.
In-depth knowledge of Cisco ASA Firewall, VPN, multi context environment, IPS/IDS, packet capture, load balancers, encryption mechanisms,
Good understanding of LAN/WAN communications, network hardware such as Cisco routers, Ethernet switches, knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.
*Interested in technology in general, security and networking in particular. Keen learner.
*Candidate must be a team player and be able to follow processes and procedures.
*Self-disciplined, self-starter, professional who can successfully bring projects to closure with minimum direction, guidance and oversight.
*Cisco certifications like CCNP, CCDP, CCIE are considered as key advantages.
*Experience with systems and tools for network and security management would be a key advantage.
*Experience with Checkpoint Firewallwe welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
