We are seeking a qualified NETWORK SECURITY ENGINEER to work for a rapidly expanding provider of automated solutions. This candidate will provide support for all security technologies centric to Servers, Networks, Endpoints and Mobile Workforce Security. These areas include but are not limited to, antivirus, host based intrusion detection systems (HIDS), endpoint Firewall systems, disk encryption solutions, data loss prevention systems, file integrity monitoring systems, white listing technologies, and mobile device security hardening and configuration control systems.

This candidate will be responsible for the configuration, deployment and support of the following technologies: CheckPoint VSX Firewalls, CheckPoint NGX and Juniper Firewalls, CheckPoint VPN, MacAfee WebWashers, Bluecoat Proxies, Packeteers, F5 Firepass SSL/VPN, F5 BigIP Local Traffic Managers, Cisco Ironports and WCCP, AT&T ScanSafe Proxy, CheckPoint UTM Firewalls, Symantec Endpoint Protection: Firewalls and Antivirus

OVERVIEW

- Support operational implementation requirements for Mergers and Acquisitions ensuring compliance with Information Technology Policy, standards, and guidelines, and recommends design changes to the environment.
- Support enterprise architecture roadmaps and ensure that security technologies are aligned in a qualitative, timely, and cost efficient way.
- Keep up with evolving risks, new developments in the security industry, and industry best practices in risk management techniques, investigating opportunities to improve system capabilities based on observed risks or gaps.
- Ensure timely reporting and remediation of security control gaps and vulnerabilities to the environment.
- Collaborate with Architecture and Threat Intelligence teams to ensure security controls are optimized to adequately detect, prevent and enable response to current and future threats.
- Support infrastructure including CheckPoint VSX Firewalls and supporting Network Security components.
- Handle tickets from HP Openview SM7 queue and assume responsibility.
- Support a global enterprise involved in follow-the-Sun coverage and contribute to on-call weekend support when needed.
- Understand IT Infrastructure components (Servers, storage, data/voice communications, etc.) and how they are combined to provide secure IT solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics or other related field or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of related experience
- CompTIA Security+ desired, A+, Network+ and/or CCNA a plus
- Solid understanding of Information Security Engineering and operations principles, application and infrastructure security technologies, and practices in a global environment
- Position requires being on-call for customer emergencies
- Security expertise including Firewalls, IDS, IPS, VPN, Remote Access, and Vulnerability Management
- Firm understanding of encryption technologies: IPSec, SSL, certificates, and public/private key infrastructure
- Understanding of the risk-based design reviews and analysis throughout the enterprise life cycle for support of the Security infrastructure
- Hands on experience and expert in the areas of server, network, endpoint, and mobile device security design and implementation
- Experience deploying and supporting endpoint security technologies in multi-platform environments containing Windows, Solaris, Unix, and Linux Servers and workstations
- Experience with security risks and mitigation controls for common mobile device platforms such as mobile phones, tablets, PDA's and netbook devices
- Skills in the areas of server, network, endpoint, and mobile device log analysis
- Experience with enterprise class Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions
- Understanding of common network traffic analysis techniques and tools
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP protocols, services, and traffic flows
- Experience with at least one Scripting language (Bash, PERL, Python, etc.)
- Familiarity with change management processes
- Experience quantifying system availability, performance, and security measurements and metrics
- High aptitude for troubleshooting, with a background in enterprise IT operations (network, Wintel server, Unix server, desktop, applications, security) strongly preferred
- Experience working in a network security environment, such as a Network Operations Center (NOC), Security Operations Center (SOC), or equivalent a plus
- Continual research and updating knowledge of industry, threats, innovations and alternative solutions
- Project resource skills and ability to work independently to complete tasks in a timely manner
