KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- THE SUCCESSFUL SECURITY CONSULTANT WILL PROVIDE OVERSIGHT OF TECHNICAL SECURITY ASPECTS OF SOLUTION ARCHITECTURE AND DETAILED DESIGN USING HP ARCSIGHT AS THE PRIMARY SIEM INFRASTRUCTURE/SOLUTION.
- YOUR RESPONSIBILITY WILL BE TO IMPLEMENT MONITORING STRATEGIES ALIGNED TO THE CLIENT\'S REQUIREMENTS.
- You will be part of the COMPUTER EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM and WORK CLOSELY WITH THESE WORK STREAMS AS REQUIRED TO ENHANCE OUR CLIENT\'S SECURITY INFRASTRUCTURE AND POSTURE.
- Perform SIEM/ARCSIGHT PRODUCT SUPPORT AND IMPLEMENTATION.
- QA ARCSIGHT REQUIREMENTS PROPOSED BY PROJECT, ARCHITECTS AND PERFORM TEAMS AND PROVIDE GUIDANCE FOR BEST PRACTICE.
- Ensure Arcsight proposals are deliverable and manageable in a steady state business model.

Cross train staff on Arcsight with objective to lead to advance tuning and security event monitoring and detection. - Assist in end to end fault determination, troubleshooting or escalation of security infrastructure, working with other Security personnel as required.
- Review and maintain Security Documentation and Operational Procedures for system currency and accuracy.
- Work closely with client and perform teams in meeting client expectations.
- Providing operational Security Status as required.
- Learn other security products/applications to meet business and client needs.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

- KNOWLEDGE OF WAN LAN, TCP/IP, FIREWALL, IDS ALERTING AND NETWORK SECURITY SUPPORT.
- PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE OF IDS/IPS.
- KNOWLEDGE WITH SECURITY/NETWORK PRODUCTS INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ISS PROVENTIA, SOURCEFIRE, MCAFEE INSTRUSHIELD, CHECKPOINT, BLUECOAT, F5 AND JUNIPER FIREWALLS.
- KNOWLEDGE AND USE OF ARCSIGHT.
- Understanding of SIEM PRINCIPLES AND BEST PRACTICES.
- Knowledge of other SIEM tools, ISS VSOC, QRadar.
- KNOWLEDGE OF FIREWALLS, SYSLOG, SNMP PROTOCOLS.
- Team relationship skills.

- High degree of analytical ability and creativity in resolving 1st and 2nd level Security problems.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure.
- Written and verbal communications skills.
- Good documentation skills.
- Problem and Change management skills.
- Degree qualified (preferred).
- SANS GSEC/GIAC Certified; Vendor IPS certification; eg Sourcefire Certified Professional JNCIAP, CCNA, Arcsight; CISSP; ITIL V3.
