Network Security Analyst (OSI layers security expert)

ROLE:

A Cyber Defence Advisor you will carry the following responsibilities:

-Ensure that operational guidelines exist to help processing Firewall rule requests.
-Provide training/be available for clarification on request.
-E nsure that Security control point change validation procedure is well defined, is accepted by all stakeholders and efficiently executed.
-Bring structure to the documentation of exceptions, such that the review of such exceptions can be more intelligently performed afterwards.
-Challenge and control Firewall rule changes
-Analyse Firewall rules, and give actionable advise
-Improve the documentation of the deviations to segmentation rules (ie actively chase for information, identify impacted applications, understand the purpose of the flow )
-Classify individual deviations and define the risk level of the deviations with the support of security architecture

EDUCATION:

- Bachelor/Master or equivalent by experience

LANGUAGES:

- English: Fluent (speaking and writing)
- French and/or Dutch: Asset

EXPERIENCE (BOLD MANDATORY):

- 5-7 years of experience in information security
- NETWORK SECURITY EXPERT
- WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF ENTIRE TCP/IP OR OSI NETWORK PROTOCOL STACK, INCLUDING MAJOR PROTOCOLS SUCH AS IP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, SMTP, POP3, HTTP, FTP, AND SSH
- GOOD UNDERSTANDING OF IT SECURITY TECHNOLOGY AND PROCESSES (SECURE NETWORKING, WEB INFRASTRUCTURE, WINTEL, UNIX, ETC.)
- SECURITY INCIDENT MANAGEMENT; CSIRT
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional CISSP
- Web Application Security Development. (OWASP)
- Working knowledge of popular cryptography algorithms and protocols: AES, RSA, MD5, SHA, Kerberos, SSL/TLS, Diffe Hellman
- EXPERIENCE IN WORKING IN CROSS-FUNCTIONAL DEPARTMENTS AND TEAMS. PRACTICAL EXPOSURE TO PROCESS MANAGEMENT.
- Knowledge of Information Security (preferably based on ISO 27001- 27005 standards);
- Experience within the Banking and Finance Industry.
- Project Management
