Network Security Analyst - Contract, Wisconsin

NETWORK SECURITY ANALYST - CONTRACT

Bachelors or equivalent experience; preferred Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics or other related field.
Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience.

COMPETENCIES:

- Experience deploying and supporting security technologies.
- Experience with security risks and mitigation controls.
- Understanding of common network traffic analysis techniques and tools.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP protocols, services, and traffic flows.
- High aptitude for troubleshooting, with a background in enterprise IT operations (network, Wintel server, Unix server, desktop, applications, security) strongly preferred.

- SSL/VPN and IPSec VPN technology
- Forward and reverse Proxy technology
- URL filtering
- Firewalls
- NIDS
- Vulnerability assessment tools
- Active Directory
- LDAP
- DNS
- DHCP
- WiFi
- SMTP and email systems
- Anti-spam technologies
- PKI and encryption
- Incident response and forensics
- SIEM analysis
- System compromising techniques
- Disk encryption solutions
- Data loss prevention

POSITION SUMMARY

Primary responsibilities will include providing internal information security consulting services in support of both I/T and business units. Troubleshooting, analysis, and operational duties will be closely aligned with corporate policies and procedures. Being able to affect change in a multi-national corporation leveraging service providers is key to success.
