Network Security Analyst - Banking

Network Security Analyst sought by our client, a major investment bank based in Zurich.

This is a contracting role which will assist in developing a solution for the monitoring of third party connections between the bank and its vendors. The successful candidate will be able to effectively prioritise the risk and plan a strong monitoring system as well as a relatively future-proof process for new 3rd party connections

This is a hybrid role which demands both technical expertise as well as the ability to create an effective solution based on gathered requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Network security domain knowledge, preferably with NIDS, VPNs and the design of security monitoring solutions; CISSP or similar certifications are a plus
- Strong analytical skills to analyse complex problems and build consensus around target solutions
- Ability to research best practice and advise on target solutions
- Ability to work across time zones, hierarchy levels, and cultures
- Attention to detail, ability to work independently, excellent communication skills

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Information gathering activities such as surveying, analysing and evaluating processes, products and services, by using a variety of internal and/or external data
- Determining required network security solutions and assisting in implementations
- Documenting as is and to be processes and business requirements documents
- Process documentation
- Recommendations for improvements, solutions and respective implementation plans
