We are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager for an initial 12 months contract assignment based in The Hague, Netherlands. (Duration is likely to extend)

INFORMATION ABOUT THE ROLE: The IT environment of the Client, includes two Data Centres in The Hague (about 1000sqm, 400kW each), two smaller facilities (250sqm, 150kW each) in Munich. These Datacentres and 20 Network Concentration Points host the majority of Clients IM equipment.

The Office wide network consists of 15.000 fixed connection points, with around 6.000 connections at the Clients Munich premises divided over 2 large buildings and around 5000 connections at the Clients The Hague premises divided over 5 buildings. Additionally, wireless connections cover dedicated areas such as, but not limited, to Conference, Training and Public areas.

In the course of 2018 a Voice Over IP (VoIP) system is being rolled out to replace the existing Telephony system, until then the Telephony services are delivered via Digital PABXs model MXOne (version TSE5) per site combined with 20 LIMs in Munich and 15 LIMs in The Hague.

To complete the functionalities in the telephony area, an ACD Solidus IVR system and Voicemail system are implemented. As the Client's Technical systems and installations are continually being changed, upgraded or replaced, the description is an indication of the current situation, it is expected that the Contractor will continue to manage to deliver all the Services seamlessly through all changes.

THE OPERATIONAL AND SUPPORT ACTIVITIES WITHIN THIS SERVICE COVER THE FOLLOWING NETWORK AREAS:

LAN/MAN/WAN.

Network Support Systems.

Network Security Perimeter.

Internet Access.

External Video Conference End to End Connection Test.

The Contractor shall support these services in a 24hr by 7day week shift pattern.

NETWORK OPERATOR: Execution of predetermined tasks and instructions as described in a handbook or workbook instruction.

Role Hours of work: 12-hour shift of 7 days Day Shift (07:00 - 19:00) or Night Shift (19:00 - 07:00)

DESCRIPTION OF TASKS: Network Operator will react to the triggered events from an ITSM dashboard of events, monitoring the infrastructure of the Client. These Events will ultimately have a solution or action associated with them, to which the operator will execute those tasks.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

- Cisco Hardware Knowledge (2 years +).
- Juniper Hardware Knowledge (2 years +)
- Voice Capability VoIP Knowledge BGP Fundamentals Knowledge (2 years +)
- Video Conferencing and Collaboration Fundamentals (Polycom and Skype for Business) DNS and VPN Routing Configurations InfoBlox (3 Years +)
- Load Balancers F5 Bluecoat Radius

SOFT SKILLS REQUIRED

Strong Knowledge of ITSM Foundation in ITIL v3 or equivalent Good Focus on Customer Service Strong understanding of SOA (Service Oriented Architecture)

CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED

CCNA Required, CCNP Desirable.

CompTIA's Network+ or Security

Microsoft's Certified Technology Specialist (Desirable)

JNCIS-SEC/SA Level Certification
