Network Operations Manager

Our client is currently looking for an experienced NETWORK OPERATIONS MANAGER to deliver data networking support for the next 2 months (this is a long term service cover).

This is a key position that will ensure the smooth running of the day to day operations of the systems and to ensure that it meets the new and changing requirements of running the business from a secure networking, hardware, and storage and software perspective.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

- Manage the operational requirements of the network and work stations.
- Manage the IT&C Helpdesk and data and telecommunications infrastructure.
- Plan, design and implement LAN & WAN infrastructure.
- Manage IT&C enterprise security to provide a secure, manageable IT&C environment to transact daily business.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

- Relevant Tertiary and Industry qualifications in Information Systems together with relevant experience in PC/LAN/WAN Support.
- Extensive experience at senior level in managing a Windows Local Area Network/Wide Area Network, or other LAN/WAN. (including Windows Server 2003, SQL 2000, Tivoli Storage Manager Lotus Domino and Cisco VPN).
- Demonstrated experience planning and designing IT&C enterprise architecture and extensive experience in managing server storage, capacity planning and quota management.
- Sound working knowledge of, MS-Windows, MS Office and Lotus Notes eMail and ideally knowledge of software applications such as SUN, Chris21, Vernon CMS, Filemaker, Symantec Antivirus, Blackberry Enterprise Server, Spydus and E-Bility.
- Experience with managing and working with 3rd party service providers.
- High level of interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Very strong communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to interact with senior department officers, vendor management and fellow team members.
