Network Operations Engineer

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years industry experience
- IP Networking fundamentals and experience in the application of IP protocols
- Experience with major Internet routing protocols
- Experience with major Router platforms; specifically with Cisco 37xx, 49xx, 65xx, 73xx, 76xx platforms including all compatible supervisory and line cards for these platforms
- Experience with IOS/JUNOS
- Network analysis fundamentals and troubleshooting skills
- Configuring and troubleshooting traffic engineering using BGP and large scale network operations and maintenance
- Experience in as many of the following protocols and technologies as possible: IPv4 & IPv6, TCP (internals & flow control), BGP, OSPF, HSRP/GLBP, IPSEC & VPNs, netflow, DNS, HTTP

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with mission critical systems highly desired
- Experience designing network and datacenter installations utilizing L2 and L3 protocols highly desired
- Unix skills and the ability to script in Perl, Shell, C or C++ desirable

This contract position is expected to be 8 months in duration.
