Network Operations Engineer

The Network Operations team is responsible for managing and supporting the company network, you will be responsible for the maintenance and support of the Network. You will be required to work as part of an extended team which ensures 24/7 access to the Network.

As part of their IT strategy, our client are expanding their IT team within the business and require an Engineer to offer day to day support of the business, both remote and desk side. Performing analysis and designing networks. Working on regular system updates and patching. Work with both technical and non-technical teams so strong communication skills is essential to the role.

Experience with the following is highly desirable:

Provide support and maintenance using various platforms, from a variety of - vendors including Juniper, Cisco, and Linux (Red Hat)

Help and assist managing projects including the installation and decommission of hardware

Adhere to deadlines, including the administration of the internal ticketing system

Provide hardware and software support as well as configuring and maintaining a multitude of Router types including Cisco and Juniper

Be able to communicate at different levels, as well as being able to remain calm under pressure and be flexible in your approach.

You'll need to have:

Fluency in English both verbal and written

Problem solving and analytical skills

Relevant Networking experience, Degree, or similar, industry standard networking or Server qualifications.

Ability to work effectively in a fast paced innovative environment demonstrating high energy, a sense of urgency, understanding and decisiveness

Excleent interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain a professional demeanour when handling complex network issues
