Network Manager - Global Pharmaceutical - Berkshire

A Global Pharmaceutical Company based in Berkshire is looking to recruit a Network Manager on a permanent basis.

As the Network Manager you will report to the Head of IT for the Europe region. You will manage a team of 2 - supporting 50 directly and 400 indirectly across Europe.

Key duties within this role will include:

- Manage IT network / server infrastructure in Europe, ensuring high service / network performance ensuring future capability and capacity in line with global guidelines.
- Provides technical guidance, training and support to affiliate IT Staff as needed, resolving escalated issues and also auditing all protocols and procedures used at the European affiliates.
- Lead projects agreed by Head of IT, providing support for successful implementation and future management of systems
- Take responsibility of all areas of IT Security, Compliance and training
- Ensure the operational integrity of the IT infrastructure; establish disaster recovery plans and testing, with Head of IT on business continuity planning.
- Provide pro-active operational IT support to OPEL business & staff members, including Telecoms and other electronic business equipment
- Dual responsibilities' as IT Security officer
- Management coach and develop a team of IT support staff
- Maintain existing supplier relations

Candidates wishing to apply must have strong pharmaceuticals experience of managing IT systems / Datacenters, with detailed knowledge of Windows Server and Networking. People and project management experience essential.

Technical skills required Windows 2003, 2008R2, Exchange 2003,2010, Office 2007,2010, TMG Proxy, SQL 2003,2008, Blackberry Services, Cisco VPN, IPSec, IP routing, Watchguard Firewall, DNS Management. Vmware ESXi 4.1 /5, SRM, Dell Equlaogic SAN. 'Linux', SharePoint, Helpdesk tools, Network Monitoring, Backup Exec 2010. An understanding SaaS.

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum
