Our client is a HIGH PROFILE GOVERNMENT AGENCY located in CANBERRA. They are currently looking to fill a key position within their ICT team. The department is looking for a NETWORK INFRASTRUCTURE SPECIALIST who will design, develop and install systems using network infrastructure.

The successful candidate's primary duties will include the development and installation of the below technologies:

- Cisco network infrastructure, using LAN/WAN routing and switching
- Network monitoring and management tools for use in availability and capacity planning roles.
- Network security technologies such as Firewalls, intrusion prevention and network access control;
- Telecommunications services, such as Frame Relay, ATM, IP, ISDN and Dark Fibre

To be a successful in this role you must have extensive knowledge of network communications infrastructure development using:

- Cisco Unified Communications for VoIP, Voicemail and Video Teleconferencing
- Cisco network infrastructure for LAN/WAN routing and switching;
- Network security technologies such as Firewalls, intrusion prevention and network access control
- Network monitoring and management tools for use in availability and capacity planning roles
