Network Implementation Engineer

LOCATION: The Loop - Chicago, IL

STATUS: 6 Week Contract

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Our client, a global financial services corporation, is dedicated to providing their clients with excellent service and striving to exceed client expectations. Currently, our client is looking for an experienced network engineer that will assist in the implementation of the corporate network infrastructure and will develop and upgrade tools that are needed to support a 24x7 Network Operations Center.  The network encompasses 40 locations and is made up of Cisco voice/data equipment.  Part of your role will include participating on the team to provide 24x7 enterprise support. PLEASE NOTE - THIS IS A 6 WEEK CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY!

REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years of networking experience; working with Cisco in medium to large environments (1000+ employees) and working in a 24x7 NOC environment
- Strong troubleshooting skills across all layers of the IP stack
- Proficient in working with Cisco CLI and monitoring tools: HP Openview or IBM Tivoli
- Hands-on experience working with Microsoft or Linux OS
- Experience in providing leadership for 24x7 support in conjunction with outsourced service provider
- CCNA preferred
