Network Engineer - Secret Clearance Job

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Inspect the Router/switch audit logs for suspected security intrusions or violations. Report any suspected intrusions IAW established polices/procedures
- Configure, install, and manage Routers within the enterprise.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and manage enterprise wireless access points
- Administer and monitor the Virtual Private Network (VPN), creating tunnels and certifications for all personnel needing access. Install new devices ensuring compliance with all policies.
- Assist in the development and review technical solutions involving the VPN.
- Configure, install, and troubleshoot Tactical Local Area Network Encryption (TACLANE) devices
- Configure, install, and manage network Switches within their AOR.
- Provide technical expertise to manage, install and administer the Enterprise Network Voice, Video and Voice Over IP solutions.
- Provide enterprise level architectural design and modification recommendations to enhance, migrate, and secure the Wide Area Network.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Successful candidates should have an Associate's degree and three (3+) years of experience or a commensurate combination of education, training, and experience.
- Experience in enterprise level routing and switching
- Experience with Multicast, QOS, VLANS, Spanning Tree, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and MPLS.
- Internet/Enterprise advanced services - TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, SLL VPN, Internet DMZ infrastructure.
- Cisco 7500, 7200, 6500, Catalyst 6500, 4000, 3750-stack, 3500, 2900.
- Knowledge of Cisco Routers, Switches, and Terminal Servers.
- The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and the ability to identify technical issues/problems are required.
- IT Firewall experience and IT security experience.
- Working knowledge of IDS and IPS (Cisco, McAfee).
- Experience in network design and troubleshooting.
- Enterprise level network Internet, WAN, LAN support.
- Working knowledge of structured cabling systems, network facilities, electrical, UPS, etc.
- Experience using packet/protocol analyzers, TCP dump to find and Remedy application and network performance issues.
- Security+ certification required

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience with ANG enterprise Network
- Experience with VMWare and/or NetApp
- Previous experience supporting government and/or Department of Defense customers.
