Our client seeks Network Engineers to help customers maximize network availability and functionality to achieve their business goals.
The engineer will deliver the technologies; solutions and services customers need to expertly manage their networks. Working in a fast-paced, high-impact environment as a visible contributor delivering on our commitments. Ideal candidates are creative problem solvers, comfortable with challenging the status quo and rapidly responding to escalated issues. With a seasoned mix of broad networking knowledge and specific area expertise, as well as excellent Customer Relationship Management (CRM) skills, they are well positioned to become trusted advisors capable of building solid, long-term relationships with customers.
- Typically requires BS, CS, or University degree equivalent plus demonstrated experience in network engineering or telecommunications support environment.
- Expert level internetworking troubleshooting in a large-scale network environment.
- Good knowledge of switching, routing protocols (EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, etc).
- Above average knowledge in MPLS and QoS.
- Good Troubleshooting and operations skills. Enterprise/SP customer setup and domain knowledge a plus.
- Undertake support as designated Advanced Services engineer for large-scale networks.
- Must possess strong technical account management skills.
- Experience in Advanced Services or high-level support.-Large-scale network design skills.
- In-depth knowledge of network management, network availability capacity planning.
- CCNP certification or equivalent level knowledge and experience required, CCIE and customer facing experience a plus.
- Good communication skills and experience in articulating technical issues to customers.
- Strong technical presentation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to technically manage small projects sections of large, complex projects. Be able to multi-task.
- Experience in working & collaborating with Global teams.
- Ability to work successfully as a team member in a cross-functional Matrix environment.
- Fluent English speaking skills mandatory. Knowledge of additional major language (German, French, Italian, Spanish, etc.) a major advantage
