NETWORK ENGINEER, PAC SUPPORT ATLANTA, GA CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY

Right now we are seeking a candidate to provide direct support coverage for all enterprise network attached systems and physical network infrastructure including hardware, software, network tools & applications, Back Office, custom and third party business applications. This role continuously works to improve personal, technical, and business skills in order to provide the best service possible.

She/He must be able to provide 24 x 7 support coverage on a rotational basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manage and Monitor PAC Servers, distribution and replication processes
- Create/Modify/delete PAC files
- Pilot and test PAC changes in Dev before rolling to production
- Periodically review IP subnet and corresponding PAC for summarization
- Perform network analysis, network monitoring, testing and capacity planning for organizations PAC/LAN/WAN environment
- Responsible for designs, installs and testing of PAC and Proxy related environments
- Works closely with Operations Team to help support PAC
- Acts as Tier II/III line of support for LAN/WAN trouble tickets
- Participates in various network projects including but not limited to Security, Performance and Capacity Planning

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 4+ years experience as a LAN/WAN Engineer or equivalent field experience
- Knowledge of CISCO equipment (Routers, Switches, ASA), routing protocols (EIGRP, RIP and BGP)
- Experience with Security, Layer Two & Three Switching, VLAN, and VPNs
- Experience with WAN technologies such as MPLS, Metro E, DS3, T1s etc.
- Knowledge of Checkpoint & F5 load balancer a plus
- Knowledge of Oracle Linux, Apache, PHP, SQL preferred
- Familiarity with appliance based network applications such as Proxy Servers, Network monitoring tools (Solarwinds Orion, Nagios, Rancid, Cisco WLSE etc.)
- Knowledge of various wireless network & wireless security technologies preferred
- Must be able to read engineering drawings and provide direction to various trades in the field on installation of physical network infrastructure
- Knowledge of Industry best practices when it comes to network design, network monitoring and security
- Strong documentation and verbal communication skills
- Experience in using for Visio
- CCNA required
- Travel up to 20% required.

Candidates can be in any of the following cities: Kettering OH, Canton, OH, Atlanta GA, Bridgewater NJ and or Stamford CT.
