POSITION: Network Security Engineer

ConSol Partners' client, a leading cloud and network infrastructure integrator, is looking for a network security engineer to join their growing team in Antwerp, as part of an on-site service with a major enterprise customer. You will be joining a team of 8 consultants charged with continuously analysing and optimising the existing network infrastructure, tools and documentation.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The network security engineer is responsible for making sure the network is continuously optimised at all times.
- Firewall configuration and troubleshooting.
- Network configuration and troubleshooting.
- Routing and Switching
- MPLS & BGP Routing
- TCP/IPv4 and TCP/IPv6 protocols
- WAN and LAN technology
EXPERIENCE:
- You are in possession of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, or equivalent by experience (3-5 years' experience working on networks and network security - ideally with Cisco Routers and Switches and Checkpoint Firewalls.)
- CCNP or equivalent certification is preferred, but not necessarily a must.
- Customer facing experience is essential.
- You must be able to communicate clearly in Dutch. English and/or French language skills are advantageous.
- Experience, or knowledge, with Systems and Servers/Storag is a plus (Windows, Active Directory, SharePoint, Hyper-V)
- VOIP/IPT experience or knowledge is also a plus (CUCM, Voice Gateways, Skype for Business)
