Network Engineer - LAN/Security

T4S are currently partnering with a systems integrator who are looking for Network Consultants for a number of role available.

RESPONSIBILTIES

Operations and support, security and continuity: Analysis, definition, design, integration, implementation, test, deployment, maintenance, support.

- Analysis and specification of operational requirements
- Analysis and specification of operational processes
- Analysis and specification of technical requirements
- Proofs of concept
- Development of scripts to automate and monitor recurrent systems related tasks
- Definition of test strategies, test design and testing of computing systems and networks
- Performance management
- Change and Configuration management (eg, assessment, scheduling, implementation, review)
- Capacity management
- Risk management
- Operational support (2nd tier)
- Installation and configuration of all relevant hardware and software
- Daily monitoring
- Incident and Problem Management (eg trouble ticketing, fault analysis, diagnosis, and resolution)
- Reporting

LOCAL AREA NETWORKS

- Technical analysis and specifications, architecture, design, implementation and deployment of public or EU classified local area network infrastructures
- Physical and wireless connectivity within and between sites
- Redundant IP infrastructures
- Telephony
- Multimedia
- Internet access
- Remote access
- Administration and maintenance of local area networks
- Implementation and administration of security defined for local area networks
- Impact assessment of changes on the network infrastructure

- Advice on network security strategies, design, integration, deployment, daily management and debugging of Local Area Network security solutions
- Administration of Firewall systems, content inspection, Firewall statistics and related security tools
- Networking security services in Microsoft environments
- Strong authentication solutions (multi-factor authentication, token-based, SMS one time password, etc.)
- VPN and encryption systems
- Administration of Web Filtering Solutions
- Drafting of network related documentation (Plans, schemas, manuals, reports, etc.)
- Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS)
- WAN technologies (IP switching, satellite communication, ADSL)
- Networking and network security solutions in virtual server environments
- Virtual network security solutions (ie virtualisation of network security devices such as virtual Firewalls)
- Web Application Firewall (WAF) solutions
- Wireless network technologies (in particular WLAN Wi-Fi)
- IP Telephony solutions and related network security-related solutions
- Server load balancing and redundancy solutions
- Proxy solutions
- PKI infrastructures

CERTIFICATIONS:

- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Check Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE)
- Blue Coat Security Certification (Blue Coat proxySG)
- Juniper Networks Certified Specialist FWV (JNCIS-FWV)

METHODOLOGIES:

- ITIL framework and methodology
- Project Management (Prince2, PMI or equivalent)

PROTOCOLS:

- TCP/IP Suite (SNMP, SMTP, DNS, DHCP, QoS,)
- SSL (offload/acceleration, interception, VPN)
