Network Engineer Job

NETWORK ENGINEER (LEVEL II) needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Alton, Illinois.

TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- LAN WAN
- Cisco Networking Cisco Certified preferred
- Configuration

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Under the guidance of the supervisor, senior technical lead, or team lead, the Network
- Technician-Engineer installs, configures, maintains, performs system integration testing, and troubleshoots Wide Area Network (WAN) and Local Area Networks (LAN) infrastructure, related utilities and hardware.
- Monitors network activities and fine tunes network parameters and configuration to optimize performance and ensure security of the network.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Participate in complex discussions in a mixed technical and business team environment.
- Suggest plans to integrate new and existing systems.
- Must be self-directed and able to work effectively in a diverse team environment with little to no direct supervision.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills including the ability to independently troubleshoot problems.
- Take ownership of tasks and responsibilities.
- Understand the organization's/team's vision and strategy, and take action in support of achieving those goals.
- Adapt and be flexible by moving easily from one set of circumstances to the next.
- Adequate knowledge of current common industry Router(s), Switches, server hardware, operating systems, monitoring software, tools, utilities, and platforms, in addition to free and open source tools.
- Broad knowledge of Microsoft Office products, eg, word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, data base, project planning.
- Cisco Certifications preferred.
