Network Engineer Job

NETWORK ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in New York, NY.

TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- Network Engineering
- Switch Router Configuration

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Switch expansions, build out at new satellite offices, deploy Avaya phones.
- Support DCP requests, Static IP assignments, port troubleshooting, wireless issues, DMVPN issues with edge Routers at satellite offices, SSLVPN troubleshooting and ACS authentication server troubleshooting.
- The right candidate will be able to handle the day-to-day work load that the reporting manager cannot handle.
- Be able to use Real Time traffic with cameras and be converting from digital services to IP services.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Four (4) year degree
- Solid understand of IP subnetting
- Basic DNS and DHCP administration
- Understanding and familiarity with Cisco IOS and NX-OS configuration syntax
- Switch Configuration for Cisco 29xx/37xx/38xx
- Router Configuration for Cisco 891/2921/3925e/ASR1000
- Configuration of the following:
- IP Addressing and default gateway assignment
- LACP Etherchannel (Layer 2 and Layer 3)
- SNMP & Logging
- Spanning Tree/Dot1q Trunking
- Understand of VTP modes
- Vlan creation and port assignments
- 802.1x MAC port filtering
- Knowledge in the following routing protocols (BGP/EIGRP)
- ACL configuration for inbound/outbound access
- FW administration. NAT configurations/SSL VPN administration. Familiarity with ASDM
- Knowledge in DMVPN technologies/tshoot and administration
- Host connectivity administration. Able to tshoot layer 1-3 on OSI model
- Able to update and create MS Visio diagrams
- Understanding of network management tools such as (syslogger/Solarwinds NPM/NCM/NPA/NPM/Engineer's toolset)
- Basic understanding of lightweight, controller based WIFI APs
- Cisco ACS administration
- Able to travel if required for onsite installation or support.
- Knowledge of mail merging to create Cisco configuration templates
- CCNA certification
