Network Engineer Job

SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Kansas City, MO.

THE BIG PICTURE:

Our client is in need of a highly skilled Sr. Network Engineer who will provide a high level of expertise to perform or direct the work of installations, load balancers, Firewalls, Switches, configurations and maintenance of operating systems on network devices. They will need to meet long-term requirements of network operations and maintain integrity and reliability of the enterprise.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Ability to understand complex network with limited supervision.
- Prior large enterprise environment experience.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Ensure uptime through change management and incorporation of best practices.
- Deploy and maintain complex CISCO based network environments (LAN/WAN/DATA/ASA Firewalls).
- Routing protocols such as BGP and EIGRP
- Maintain overall integrity of network infrastructure. This includes design, implementation, monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting. Will also include Cisco IOS configuration and troubleshooting across multiple platforms: Cisco Routers, Switches, security devices and wireless access points.
- Document the configuration of network devices and traffic flows throughout the enterprise.
- Work closely with other department and organizations and collaborate with other IT staff.
- Provide technical leadership and supervision of network engineers and others of equivalent seniority.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Seven to ten (7 - 10) years of experience with Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and load balancers.
- Knowledge and experience working with CISCO Nexus, CISCO Router/switch, F5, CISCO ASA Firewalls, Juniper, SSL, VPN, Infoblox and/or Bluecat DNS.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Five to seven (5 - 7) years of professional level experience.
- Certification in CISCO, CCNP, CCDP, and/or related field.
