Network Engineer Job

NETWORK ENGINEER needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Reston, VA.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Cicso NEXUS/NXOS Switches
- F5 Load Balancers
- Strong Firewall experience

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Reconfigure existing networks to SAP IP standards with minimal downtimes
- Coordinate rack configuration and turn up new gear onsite to include (After hours)
- PERL IOLAN console for remote connectivity to the Switches, Routers and other network equipment
- Cisco WAN Router configurations
- Cisco L2/L3 Switch configurations (HSRP, Spanning-Tree, Route Map/Redistribution, OSPF, VLAN and IP management)
- Understanding of Administrative Distance, and longest match route selection
- Nexus/NXOS Switch configurations (EtherChannel/PortChannel, VPC, Spanning-Tree)
- Big-IP F5 LTM load balancers, HA-Failover, and NAT configurations
- Assist Vendors with installation of peripheral network equipment (off hours)
- Configure Cisco ASA Firewall ACLs, Site-to-Site IPsec VPN, and routing as needed to support server DMZ network
- Document all work to SuccessFactors/SAP standards
- Basic troubleshooting experience using ping, trace route, ASA packet-tracer, Telnet, and standard L2/L3 "show" commands

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Strong Firewall experience, as well as F5 load balancer experience
- Data Center experience
- Three to five (3 - 5) years of experience building Router and Switch configurations on various Cisco Switching and Routing platforms including (but not limited to): Cisco ASR 1000 and 2821 Routers, Catalyst 6500, 3750X, 2960c, and 4500 Switches.
- Three to five (3 - 5) years experience building and administering Nexus/NXOS Switches 5500, 2000 FEX series
- Comprehensive experience working with server hardware in a dynamic environment include VMware 5.x and Cisco UCS
- CCNP or equivalent certifications (advanced CCNA able to demonstrate knowledge of the mentioned topics)
