Network Engineer Job

NETWORK ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client, SAP America located in Reston, VA.

TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- Cisco Switching and Routing
- Nexus/NXOS Switches
- Server Hardware expertise

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Reconfigure existing networks to SAP IP standards with minimal downtimes
- Coordinate rack configuration and turn up new gear onsite to include (After hours)
- PERL IOLAN console for remote connectivity to the Switches, Routers and other network equipment
- Cisco WAN Routers configurations
- Cisco Switches configurations
- Nexus/NXOS Switch configurations
- Assist Vendors with installation of peripheral network equipment (off hours)
- Configure Firewalls as needed to support server DMZ networks
- Document all work to SuccessFactors/SAP standards

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Three to five (3-5) years of experience building Router and Switch configurations on various Cisco Switching and Routing platforms including (but not limited to): Cisco ASR 1000 and 2821 Routers, Catalyst 6500, 3750X, 2960c, and 4500 Switches.
- Three to five (3-5) years of experience building and administering Nexus/NXOS Switches
- Comprehensive experience working with server hardware in a dynamic environment
- CCNP or equivalent certifications
