NETWORK ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Greenwood Village, CO.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Responsible for engineering activities supporting the architecture of a Residential Router, Commercial Gateway, Service Provider Wi-Fi and Small Cell solutions to enhance the company's telecommunications portfolio.
- Collaborate with Network Architecture and product development on business and technical requirements.
- Assess vendor solutions to address current and future requirements.
- Closely works with Network Architects to create proof of concept trials, test plans and performance results.
- Works with technical operations staff on system design and configuration.
- Participates in network planning, network architecture design and engineering
- Integrates and schematically depicts communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission and signalling links and protocols into complete network configurations
- Evaluates new products, performs network problem resolution
- Assists in the development and documentation of technical standards
- Develops and implements approved methods of procedure
- Designs and establishes protocol compatibility standards, develops and implements network
- enhancements and makes recommendations for improvement
- Works on projects/systems/issues of medium to high complexity surrounding network planning, configuration and optimization
- Provides escalated tier support across organizations and to third party vendors
- Works on one or more projects as a project team member, occasionally as a project team lead
- Coaches less experienced staff
- Adhere to industry specific local, state, and federal regulations, as applicable

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Excellent knowledge in M2M, In-Home Router industry standards and design/implementation (MoCA, IPv4/IPv6, TR-069, IPSEC, QoS, 802.11).
- Excellent industry knowledge, 3GPP (GSM, UMTS, HSPA, LTE), 3GPP2 (1xRTT/EVDO) and/or OMA. Experience with handset manufacturers, network equipment vendors, and/or chipset vendors a plus .
- Excellent knowledge with common mobile handset operating systems (Windows Mobile, Android and other Java-Linux platforms) and knowledge of UICC/SIM chipsets & modules relating to wireless devices Knowledge of RF or Network System Performance.
- Should have knowledge of various Network adjuncts and services ie AAA, Diameter, EAP, PDSN, LTE Data, VoLTE, GRE, Soft GRE, L2TP, CAPWEP. Experience using protocol communications test equipment and tools (protocol analyzers, CDMA/LTE system simulators, Wi-Fi analyzers and packet sniffers).
- Knowledge or experience in the following is a plus: - DLNA, UPnP, oneM2M architecture - RRC, NAS, SIP, IMS, OSGI, and DHCP.
- Excellent industry knowledge of IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, SISO, MIMO, MCS specifications and rates.
- Expertise in RF design and HFC Design.
- Experience with testing and Q/A of Layer 1 thru 7 networks
- Experience writing test cases and test plans
- Hands-on networking experience (TCP/IP, fiber optics, Routers, Switches, etc.)
- Experience with network test equipment, such as Ixia, Spirent, EXFO.
- Experience with desktop operating systems and applications (Windows, MAC, Unix/Linux)
- Strong work ethic with a desire to meet and exceed personal and business goals
- Expert level communication, documentation, teamwork skills
- Self-motivated to take ownership of assigned projects and deliverables
- Experienced technical writing skills sufficient to produce white papers, test cases, test plans, design documents, and technical diagrams
