Network Engineer Job

Yoh has a contract-to-hire opportunity for NETWORK OPERATIONS ENGINEER to join our Telecom client in Duluth, GA.

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Network Operations Engineer works in the Global Network Operations Center to resolve technical queries and issues from customers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answering phone calls and emails.
- Open and update tickets in the ticketing system.
- Work to resolve tickets within scope of expertise.
- Stay updated on new product versions and releases.
- Regularly update customers on the status of open/in process tickets.
- Maintain commitments to Service Level Agreements SLAs.
- Maintain commitments to Mean Time to Resolution targets MTTR.
- Work to continuously improve the customer satisfaction index CSI.
- Resolve tickets above the minimum rate per work day (3 tickets/work day).
- Answer all inbound phone calls prior to 5 min.
- Respond to all emails prior to 60 min from time of receipt.
- Position self for upward advancement within the NOC and outside of the NOC based on performance.

Job Qualifications:
- Strong Unix, Linux, experience generally Solaris.
- Five (5+) years of networking and system administration experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent three to four (3 - 4) years of related experience.
- Excellent and oral written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a 24/7 environment; must be able to accommodate any given shift/day.
