Network Engineer III Job

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a NETWORK ENGINEER to join our client in the Greenwood Village, Colorado area.

Job Responsibilities

- Member of a team of engineers responsible for the client's Product Development and Access & Transport services.
- The individual will be a key contributor to the development and deployment new Products.
- This position will be responsible for testing and integration of multiple vendor products into the client's Transport and Access network.
- Participation in industry working groups and technical forum related to technology development and standards.
- The individual will also support vendors with product and service requirements based on business needs and internal customer requests.
- Contribute to the Company vision of being the industry leader in customer service through quality, commitment, courtesy and teamwork
- Member of a team of engineers responsible for Product Development and Testing.
- Responsible for testing, evaluation, integration and configuration of Access Networks
- Develop documentation related to design and proper configuration of system components.
- Troubleshoot and analyze transport, networking and software configurations.
- Provide briefings and project status reports to senior management

Job Qualifications

- BSEE or equivalent experience
- Eight (8) years of experience with Hands on configuration of Routers
- Eight (8) years of experience with Design and System Engineering
- Five (5) years of experience in Testing Methodologies
- Working Conditions: Lab Environment
- The position requires strong technical skills working knowledge of IP routing, Switching, MPLS, and VPLS technologies.
- Hands on work in a lab or cable system environment are required to validate test plans and configurations before service deployment.
- Ability to accomplish activities related to system design, equipment configuration and installation, integration, testing and service validation prior to commercial deployment.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex data
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel
- Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
- Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
- Ability to show judgment and initiative and to accomplish job duties
- Knowledge of cable and telecommunications products and services
- Knowledge of IP Routing & ISIS routing protocol
- Knowledge of network design, architecture, protocols and topology
