Network Engineer III

Our direct client in the Energy Industry (Oil & Gas) is looking to hire two Network Engineers experienced with Proxy services, Firewalls, Cisco network devices, F5 load balancers, and complex network troubleshooting for a long-term contract position.

These individuals will work in an organization team comprised of individuals from multiple discplines (Windows, Unix, Backup, Voice and Network) supporting cross-company work.

Required:

Bachelors degree in information systems, computer science or related technical field or equivalent work experience. (Typically 4 years of additional related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelors degree. A minimum of 2 years additional directly related technical experience is required.)
Five years of experience with data networking or general telecommunications experience.
Technical skills including programming, installation, configuration, and data base management.
Expert level analysis and design skills involving the ability to gather data on systems issues, define alternative approaches, assess business impact, recommend cost effective solutions, and develop and implement those solutions.
Advanced knowledge of current technologies, tools, applications, and vendors
Must possess advanced enterprise networking fundamentals, including complex switching and routing knowledge, high availability system designs skills, advanced network security design skills, Internet services and protocols knowledge, advanced network diagnostics capabilities.
Effective oral and written communication skills
Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently
