Network Engineer Config

NETWORK ENGINEER CONFIGURATION

3 MONTHS + INITIALLY WITH POTENTIAL TO EXTEND. START ASAP - INTERVIEWS END OF THIS WEEK.

Our client is a leading Australian institution looking for a dedicated and experienced Cisco Network Engineer to assess the configuration of numerous devices (in the 1000's) on our Client site.

The purpose of this role is to work alongside a more senior deployment engineer in a small team to ensure our client receives excellent technical feedback to maintain and upgrade all aspects of their network.

DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS CONTRACT THIS IS A VERY METICULOUS, METHODICAL ROLE REQUIRING AN EXPERIENCED, ASTUTE ENGINEER WITH AN EYE FOR DETAIL.

The client infrastructure is Cisco with Routers and Switches numbering in the thousands connecting multiple geographically diverse sites. 

You will be documenting each device against config templates and writing up required modifications. Attention to detail is required to spot defencies and possible effects/impact on the network

Hands on Cisco, Cisco, Cisco...... devices will be Switches and Routers.

Configurations will include access lists, VLANS, BGP, EIGRP and possibly VRF code.

Extensive documentation experience

You will be Cisco certified with a proven network history in large scale organisations.              

YOU MUST HAVE EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS, BOTH WRITTEN AND VERBAL as the role involves senior stakeholder interaction and is based on the end Client site in Melbourne's CBD.
