NETWORK ENGINEER/CCNP/CCDP/SC CLEARED/NATO/IMMEDIATE START
RATE: €400-475 P/D
LOCATION: MONS (Belgium)
DURATION: 6 months (Initially)
Required Qualifications
The individual must have Hold one or more of the following IT security qualifications/certifications:
*CCDP: Cisco Certified Design Professional
*CCIE: Cisco Certified Internet Expert
*A+ Certification
Essential Skills:
In addition to the minimum of 4 years' experience of CISCO Routing and Switching Elements or similar manufacturers, the contractor must have;
*a diploma from a vocational school in a communications related subject, or an equivalent level of work experience in the field of telecommunications;
*a minimum of 4 years' experience with the configuration and operation of HP Network Automation or equivalent network automation and orchestration systems;
*a minimum of 4 years' experience with the configuration and operation of Network Monitoring and Event Management systems ideally Intermapper, Spectrum, HP Openview and Splunk;
*over 4 years' experience of working in a centrally managed network environment;
*proven experience in the use of an Incident Management System such as BMC Remedy;
*a high level of knowledge of network, system and application level troubleshooting techniques;
*knowledge of communications protocols and practical experience of using diagnostic test equipment;
*extensive knowledge of implementing and operating LAN technologies (eg HSRP, STP, Switching, VLANs, DHCP snooping, ARP Inspection, Port-Security);
*working knowledge of operating network authentication and authorization systems and technologies (eg Secure ACS 5.x, ISE, 802.1x, 802.1ae MACSEC, RADIUS, TACACS+);
*good interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
*experience in implementing/commissioning network equipment and participate in projects delivering network capabilities.
Desirable Skills:
*university degree in a field related to the function of the post;
*prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements;
*2 years' experience in all aspects of maintenance, repair, and operation of large complex multi-vendor IP communications networks and related equipment;
*experience with IPv6 network technologies and concepts
*experience with Datacentre technologies and Virtualized Switching such as Hyper-V, VMWare and Nexus1000V;
*experience implementing and operating a multi-tenancy network environments (VRF/VLAN);
*familiarity with Thales TCE 621 family IP Cryptographic Equipment or similar Military Grade IP Encryption devices;
*experience with IP Diffserv QoS in Networks;
*understanding of Firewall Technology and Concepts;
*tamiliarity with Application Performance Monitoring Solutions such as Netscout;
*familiarity with Performance Management principles, metrics and tools (eg MRTG, IPSLA);
*prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements.
