CISCO NETWORK ENGINEER - HIGH AVAILABILITY SYSTEMS - DUBLIN

CISCO NETWORK ENGINEER - CCIE - CCNP - CCDP -3 MONTH CONTRACT

A Network Engineer (CCIE/CCDP/CCNP) is required for an initial three month contract based in Dublin paying £325 to £350/€450 to €480 per day.

The Network Engineer's primary responsibility is the development, management and administration of client high availability systems and environments. The Network Engineers are expected to take the initiative, under the guidance of the Network Engineering Manager, necessary to establish and maintain a highly professional and effective service.

In addition the Network Engineer's provide third level support to all other members of the team when required.

The Network Engineer is required to define, test, implement and evolve all standards, policies and procedures utilised within the production networking environment for use by the Global Cloud Operations team as well as themselves.

- Virtualisation
- JunOS/ScreenOS
- Current UK/Ireland driving license is required

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Develop, conduct, and promote proactive procedures to improve the availability and support of MS systems & network environments.
- Perform logical and physical design activities. Design, develop, implement, tune and support MS systems & network environments.
- Conduct design, implementation, MS testing, service readiness certification, and operational support procedures
- Provide guidance and support to other staff in the discharge of their duties.
- Provide 3rd level support to the team, both during normal hours and out-of-hours.
- Utilise prescribed software and tools to manage the progress of a production fault or incident from inception/alert through to successful resolution and closure, including post-incident documentation and reporting.
- Carry out all operational tasks and duties as defined within existing Operational Procedures and Service Level Agreements.
- Assist in the production of documentation and technical implementation details related to solutions to customer requirements to enable successful post-production management of those solutions.
