NETWORK ENGINEER, CCIE DALLAS, TX 6 MONTH CONTRACT

Provides direct support coverage for all enterprise network attached systems and physical network infrastructure including hardware, software, network tools & applications, Back Office, custom and third party business applications.

OVERVIEW:

- Provides technical support, assists in the design, deployment, and maintenance of all enterprise systems.
- Works with other groups in the IS Department to support projects and day-to-day operations as defined by supervisor.
- May lead small to medium sized projects independently.
- Tests and evaluates technical infrastructure to eliminate problems and make improvements.
- Creates installation and support documentation as needed.
- Relies on basic experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Continuously works to improve personal, technical, and business skills in order to provide the best service possible.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must have current CCIE certification routing and switching
- Must be a subject matter expert on Cisco Nexus Switches (specifically 7009s, 7010s, 5500 series, 2200 series)
- Must have a strong understanding of Cisco Voice environment to aid in troubleshooting with that team when applicable
- Must have a minimum of 10 years networking experience
- Must have expertise with both Cisco and Checkpoint Firewalls
- Must have a solid understanding of Proxy/web filtering products, load balancers/reverse proxies (ie F5 BigIP), Sourcefire IPS/IDS, global traffic managers (ie F5 GTMs), WAN/LAN acceleration products
- Must have LAN/WAN architecture experience (minimum 5 years)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills must be able to discuss extremely technical information with engineers and also be able to take technical information and convey it to non-technical personnel
- Must have demeanor and professional skills to be able to work successfully with external technical and non-technical contacts
- Must have the ability to mentor and help lower level engineers develop their skillsets
- Ability to provide 24 x 7 support coverage on a rotational basis required
