General Description
Work within the IT Infrastructure team; maintaining Servers, Switches, Routers and communication equipment.
Job Functions
Manage and administer an existing server environment as well as proposing design improvements and making recommendations and implementations to achieve best practices
Design, implement, and support network technologies to include Dell, VMware, Checkpoint, Cisco and other hardware/software platforms.
Monitor & maintain the network inc. WAN connectivity to support other office communications.
Liaise with other network staff to overcome any issues.
A.D & Microsoft Exchange Design & Dev
Assist with the inventory management of licenses, software, hardware, and any other IT supplies.
Essential:
Understanding of the issues involved with administering and maintaining a corporate infrastructure, including MPLS/VPLS, network connectivity, Internet access, email, security, etc.
Proficient with Fiber Chanel and iSCSI SAN technologies, EMC and Compellent experience a plus
Familiar with VPN technology, experience with Cisco ASAs and ISRs a plus
Experience configuring and maintaining Layer 2 and layer 3 networking.
