Network Engineer

Network Engineer required for a government client in Brussels. You will be tasked with operational support of the Network & LAN infrastructure.

TASKS:

- Responsible for operations of the LAN infrastructure (Cisco), MPLS backbone, load balancers and WIFI (Cisco controllers et access points)
- Participate to projects improving network reliability and performance
- Participate to the 2nd level support for incident management and request fulfilment (including occasional participation to Service Desk role)
- Testing of new configuration, equipment and releases
- Reporting on network/security usage and performance
- Develop and maintain a high standard of documentation (procedure, process)

SKILLS:

Checkpoint, Cisco, MPLS, PAlo ALto, F5

Switching (Cisco): VSS and stacking technologies,

Trunking/Channeling, Hardenning, STP,

Routing (Cisco): (MP-)BGP, ISIS, OSPF, multicast

MPLS: L2VPN, L3VPN, VPLS, Traffic Engineering, VRF

WIFI Cisco: WISM, Captive portal, Access Point, Clean Air

Event Manager (EEM)

Cisco CCNA Routing and Switching Certification, and capability/willingness to get CCNP
