Network Engineer

For our client in the middle of the Netherlands, Harvey Nash is looking for a

Network Engineer

Startdate: first of August 2018
Period: 12 Months with an option to extend
Hours: 36
Goal: first call network activities

Knowledge:

- At least 2 years of experience
- At least 2 years of experience as a network architect
- At least 2 years of experience in de telecom industry
- Level Education: MBO/HBO, field of study ICT/Technical study
- English is a must
- System knowledge of one of the four knowledge areas is nice to have:

* DSL techniques zoals VDSL, vectoring, bonding, G.fast FTTH
* IP Routing: MPLS, OSPF, BGP, VPLS, DHCP, Routing, Switching, preferable knowledge of Juniper, Cisco.
xWDM techniques
* VoIP, IMS, vIMS, IP Networking, BGW, IPCentrex, VoLTE, IP InterconnecT, SIPx, SBC, MGW

Tasks & activities:

The most important what you are going to do in this role is first call network acitvities.

Tasks:

- Eventmanagement: element and network monitoring and receiving client trouble tickets and tickets about generic disturbances.
- Analysing the event, impact and root cause
- To solve the standard disturbances.
- Unless the impact is not to ascertain and/or the disturbance is not resolvable, you have to manage other solvable parties.

Specialties:

The candidate should be open to travel in the beginning of the assignment.
