Network Engineer

Proteus Europe is searching for a Network Engineer available to work in a long term contract for one of our clients in Belgium.

Your New role:-

Nature of the service
Operation and support, security and continuity: Analysis, definition, design, integration, implementation, test, deployment, maintenance, support.

Reference tasks:
Common:
- Analysis and specification of operational requirements
- Analysis and specification of operational processes
- Analysis and specifications of Technical requirements
- Proofs of concepts
- Development of scripts to automate and monitor recurrent systems related tasks
- Definition of tests strategies, test design and testing of computing systems and networks
- Performance management
- Change and configuration management( eg, assessment, scheduling, implementation review)
- Capacity management
- Risk management
- Operational support(2nd tier)
-Installation and configuration of all relevant hardware and software
-Daily monitoring
- Incident and Problem Management (eg Trouble ticketing, fault analysis, diagnosis and resolution
- Reporting
- Coordination with 3rd party maintenance contractors
- Technical assessment of technologies and related products
- All types of Technical documentation, operational guidelines and procedures
- Technical training and guidance
- Reporting

Wide area network
Technical analysis and specifications, architecture, design, implementation deployment operation and support of classified wide area network infrastructures and solutions:
Communication services and integration in IT services in a distributed architecture
Secured Wide Area Network solutions interconnecting a distributed architecture
Large scale redundant IP, ATM, and ISDN, based infrastructures between national and international sites
Telephony
Messaging solutions and applications
Multimedia
Writing of high level and technical documents (including advice, analysis, reports, design/study, specifications, implementation, testing, training, presentations, etc.)
Administration and maintenance of communication solutions (including OS, Messaging systems, databases) and wide area network systems
Coordination with the internal and external (e/g network providers) technical actors
Implementation and administration of security defined for communication solutions and wide area network systems.
