Network Engineer

Network Integration Engineer - 6 month contract - Defence Organisation in Dorset - 4G/CISCO

Advantage Resourcing is seeking candidates to apply for a Network Engineer based with a Defence organisation in Christchurch in the South of England/Dorset. This will be an initial 6 months contract at the rate of £49.19 per hour limited. We are seeking candidates from a Cisco Networking background with design, integration, development, installation and configuration experience and also experience with 4G LTE.

Please be aware that candidates securing this role will have to go through SC Clearance, therefore it is an advantage if you have this already but not essential to be considered.

*Experience of integrating multi-vendor equipment and software and the testing of the integrated solutions
*Experience of IP Network and 4G LTE technologies and equipment Integration
*A good understanding of the systems development life cycle, from design through to test
*A working knowledge of the development processes (eg requirements, design, specification, implementation acceptance testing)
*Awareness of Design Certification and Product Safety Processes
*Awareness of the US Export and ITAR rules
*An understanding of product safety as pertaining to hardware/systems and an appreciation of the overarching product safety requirements/implications of delivering systems to operational customers

Experience/Qualifications:

*Experience of integrating commercial networking equipment and systems including CISCO and Vocality
*4G LTE Systems
*Cisco Certification/CCNA/CCNP/Voice/Security
*VOIP

Experience in the following areas is desirable:

*3G/MANET/WiMAX/WiGIG technologies
*Knowledge of VM systems
*Military and Civil Radios and Communications systems
*Windows Server 2012
*Linux Software
*Knowledge of Defence Standards (Def-Stans)
*Knowledge of the MOOD, DOORS and System Architect tools
