Network Engineer

Cornucopia are currently looking for a Network Engineer to work with a rapidly growing company in Amsterdam. This role is required for the installation and support of the network services delivered by Network team. This role may involve working within an on-call policy.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

To install
Managing and monitoring the core networks;
Work on projects for the expansion
Administer the internal systems which support the network services;
Investigate, advise
Document systems and share knowledge with other team members
Performs any miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
To ensure a consistently high level of quality across the Network
Working with Group and other Regional Network teams where required on Continual Service Improvements for overall benefit of the Client.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Actual hands on experience is seen as preferable to purely theoretical study, however a balance between the two is ideal. The below is a guide.

One or more of the following as a minimum:
oCCNA, CCNP or similar
oQuality experience in a service provider environment with a strong IP network bias (1,5+ years experience)
Additionally, working knowledge of Ethernet infrastructure, both fibre & copper, network security, server management, monitoring systems is advantageous
Communication skills (confident liaising with customers)
Troubleshooting should be second nature
Strong character when it comes to solving issues
Good knowledge of Cisco networks equipment
Excellent (Cisco) MPLS + IP skills
Should be able to support with Cloud connections (so also Windows server skills will be needed ie PowerShell scripts)
Must be fluent in Dutch and English

About the Role:

6 month contract possibility to extend
Amsterdam based
GBP413 per day (560 per day)
Immediate start date - URGENT ROLE
