POSITION: NETWORK ENGINEER
DURATION: 3-6 months
LOCATION: Copenhagen Denmark
JOB DESCRIPTION
CHECKPOINT FIREWALLS AND VPN
- Should have good understanding of Firewall and VPN fundamentals.
- Should have good understanding of CheckPoint - Firewalls and VPN architecture, VPN GUI in order to support 24 X 7 operations.
- Independently lead initial troubleshooting of all incidents and resolving routine incidents.
- Update KEDB with documented steps to resolve known problems. Raising/implementing/validating regular change requests. Lead interaction with vendors/customer security team/s. Validating technical issues resolved by L1.
- Creation of new service and operational reports in-line with customer needs.
ROUTING AND SWITCHING.
- Should have experience in L2/L3 technologies.
- Development, design experience in the above areas.
- Layer 2 - STP, RSTP, MSTP, VLAN, 802.1Q, Ethernet Service,
- Layer 3 - RIP, OSPF, BGP, ICMP.
- Should have worked in L3 Routing & Forwarding Technologies - Routing Protocols (OSPF, BGP),
- Should be able to estimate for features and list risks from experience.
