Network Engineer

NETWORK SUPPORT TECHNICIAN LOUISVILLE, KY CONTRACT TO HIRE

Currently we re seeking a Network Tech to provide technical support, assist in the design, deployment, and maintenance of all enterprise systems. This includes direct support coverage for all enterprise network attached systems and physical network infrastructure including hardware, software, network tools and applications, Back Office, custom and third party business APPLICATIONS. MAY LEAD SMALL TO MEDIUM SIZED PROJECTS INDEPENDENTLY.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Support 8:00am ET to 4:30pm ET Weekdays on-site in Louisville, KY
- Respond to incidents 4:30 PM ET 11 PM ET on an occasional basis
- Test and evaluate technical infrastructure to eliminate problems and make improvements
- Create installation and support documentation as needed
- Manage, Assign and close Network Service Requests and other network workflows such as IP Address request, Port Configuration Request, etc.
- Deploy/install/label physical cabling infrastructure
- Circuit provisioning/disconnecting
- Hardware configuration/deployment/installation/movement
- Internal Project tasks such as device upgrades and replacements
- Minimal travel may be required (All travel requires pre-approval.)
- Network RTS
- Build/deploy network hardware
- Cisco Router/switch/Firewall/load-balancer/access-point/Proxy/IP phone support
- F5 load-balancer support
- Palo Alto Firewall support
- Site relocations/moves (rooftop consolidation)
- Deploy/install/label physical cabling infrastructure
- Circuit provisioning/disconnecting
- Network utilization reporting

REQUIREMENTS:

- 7+ years of networking experience
- Network troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN networking
- Knowledge of Cisco network devices (Routers, Switches, Firewalls, access-points)
- Knowledge of F5 network hardware
- Knowledge of Network infrastructure cabling
- Knowledge of IP Addressing and IP Routing
