Network Engineer

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a NETWORK ENGINEER to join our client in Philadelphia, PA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for analytical tasks and activities associated with one or more network solutions or telecommunications functions but not limited to LAN, WAN, voice, desktop and wireless support.
- Troubleshoot customer connectivity issues and a focus on providing customer's technical assistance and guidance.
- Use network monitoring tools to troubleshoot customer issues pertaining to connectivity, network routing and market data.
- Works directly with NASDAQ OMX subscribers and service providers to troubleshoot network configuration issues and provide testing support.
- Works with Network Operations Center staff to monitor NASDAQ OMX internal networks, connections to extranets, direct-connected and collocated subscribers for errors, using HP Openview console and other tools.
- Participates with client in the installation/configuration of equipment and software.
- Participates in network planning, network architecture design and engineering tasks.
- Works directly with customers, senior level team members and project managers.
- Analyzes and coordinates resolution to problems and provides technical support and guidance to clients and systems areas.
- Performs communications systems analysis and tuning, and makes recommendations for improvement.
- Analyzes and takes corrective action under supervision of senior NASDAQ network engineers.
- Installs and upgrades computer software and network equipment.
- Performs all routine administrative and operations tasks which demand local involvement.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be proficient with Cisco LAN, WAN, and ASA devices.
- Cisco and Aruba Wireless experience is a plus.
- Bachelors Degree is required.
