Network Designers Architects/Nexus/Data Centre $700 - $900

This leading national Telco are currently recruiting for experienced and talented Network Designers/Architects to join their Data Centre team due to a significant increase in long term project pipelines. You will be delivering clear and concise documentation including High and Low level designs and Implementation Plans. Work with project managers and solution architects to agree on scope, set realistic delivery times and support the project through design approval, testing and project acceptance processes.

Expertise will be required across a variety of IP network technology including Cisco Routers and Switches (Nexus, 7600/6500, ISR, etc); Juniper Routers (MX); Checkpoint; Juniper and Cisco Firewalls; Loadbalancers and Proxies (F5, Bluecoat); DNS, Storage, and Virtualisation. Core Skills required include BGP, OSPF, general NXOS/IOS, Advanced LAN Switching and Trunking, Firewall Policy & IPSEC setup, HTTP expertise, Wireshark/Ethereal session debugging, Loadbalancing topologies & iRule Scripting, SNMP/Syslog & Alarming,

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be working closely with existing team members to ensure that internal standards and procedures are followed at every opportunity and to deliver network solutions in line with target architecture and IP security policy.

Continually work to improve engineering processes, methodology and approach to delivery to ensure a consistent and measured approach for all project engagements. Work closely with other team members to ensure quality and professional outcomes are delivered always, and reduce repetition of effort and mistakes.

TOP 5 - KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

- 5 years experience working in Large IP Network environments (Telco Preferred).
- Hands-on Technical Experience across Routing/Switching/Firewall/Load Balancing deployments - in Implementation or Operational role ideally.
- Experience of Project Delivery Lifecycle on Large, Business-Critical Projects.
- Analytical and planning skills.
- Comfortable in the management of complex technical matters.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

Tertiary or equivalent qualifications in Computer/Electrical Engineering and/or Telecommunications is preferred.
