Overview of program:
The client is running a project to improve the resiliency of the IT infrastructure at the Amsterdam Regional Data Center. One of the aspects is isolating management- from production traffic to avoid interference and increase overall security.

OVERVIEW OF ASSIGNMENT:
The Centralized Management Environment (CME) will become the global IT infrastructure monitoring and management platform. The first applications the will be hosted in the CME are web- based tools for security monitoring, environmental control, access control (19" Racks) and "out of band" management purposes. The CME is to be built in the EMEA Regional Data Center which is located in Amsterdam.
The CME is built on a Twin-DC concept in active-active mode using a geo stretched DC LAN and Hyper-Convergence technology to achieve easy management of a single appliance. For remote locations IPSEC tunnels will be used to connect to the central head-end in Amsterdam. For this the Cisco Virtual Office (CVO) solution will be implemented. Further the CME will be used to deploy new Data Centers via an "out of band" infrastructure including: Serial Console, iLO interface etc

EXPECTED OUTCOME AND KEY ELEMENTS:
This assignment includes writing the High Level and Low Level design of the CME and implementing the core infrastructure in a way that other project are able to implement their management tooling. A Project Start Architecture is already in place.

- Participate in project meetings
- Validate the concept/vision via requirements engineering process
- Write the High- and Low Level Design
- Implement the solution in alignment with the operations team
- Document operations processes
- Hand-over to operations
- Support/educate the operations team
