Network Design Specialist Cisco & Juniper

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Produce detailed network designs based on requirements gathered from a variety of sources, such as high-level design documents, systems and network standards, marketing requirements, and meetings with technical project personnel.
- Follow the full life cycle of related networking infrastructure projects providing oversight from high level design through to detailed design.

REQUIREMENTS

- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent data networking and telecommunications service experience
- CCNP/JNCIP level or above preferred
- Strong knowledge of Routing and Switching systems (Cisco understanding of Routing Protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP) and Gateway Redundancy Protocols (HSRP, VRRP, and GLRP) to include experience troubleshooting issues with these protocols.
- Knowledge of Juniper Networks Switches EX Series Network Security (ACL's, IPSec Tunnels), Cisco ASA's (Security Appliances); SONET, ATM, MPLS, POS, Multicast and how to properly implement these technologies.
- Ability to perform (advanced level) configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of IP network infrastructure.
- Experience in supporting the full engineering life cycle to include; Demonstrate the ability to work with customers to determine network requirements, write system requirement documents, and develop design solutions (physical and logical) that are in compliance with best engineering practices, standards, and guidelines, implementing and testing the solution to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
