Network Design Engineer/Network Architect

INTERNAL JOB DESCRIPTION - ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead the Technical Network Integration effort from an EMEA perspective. Analyze the current environment and design/Implement the different phases of the integration under direction provided by the Corporate Architecture team.

The Network Design Engineer must be well versed into the advanced engineering and administration of Routers, multilayer Switches, network security devices and network management systems.

S/He will also provide guidance in large network design projects, document solution, provide configuration template, validate solution in a test environment

Duties involve among others:
- Provide IT network solutions that address the business requirements.
- Manage Network security implementation between the 2 companies.
- Put in place complex network changes.
- Document configuration changes.
- Provide Level 3 network troubleshooting support.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented network services.

INTERNAL JOB DESCRIPTION - REQUIREMENTS:

Excellent communication & presentation skills with good project management experience.
In-depth knowledge of LAN/WAN communications, network hardware such as Cisco Routers, Ethernet Switches, gateways and Firewalls.
In-depth knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.
Interested in technology in general, security and networking in particular. Keen learner.
Strong understanding and practical experience with technologies like MPLS, QoS, Wireless, and some experience with Cisco ISR, ASR, Catalyst, ASA, ACE platforms.

- Candidate must be a team player and be able to follow processes and procedures.
- Self-disciplined, self-starter, professional who can successfully bring projects to closure with minimum direction, guidance and oversight.
- Experience with systems and tools for network and security management would be a key advantage.
- Experience with CheckPoint Firewall & Juniper technologies would be an advantage.
- Cisco certifications like CCNP, CCDP,CCIE are considered as key advantages.
- Experience with Unified Communications (IP Telephony, Video), Data Center Network, Network security and wireless technology would be seen as a clear advantage.
