Network Design Engineer Job

NETWORK DESIGN ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in St. Louis, Missouri.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting network devices and services to meet specific business requirements.
- This position researches, analyzes, proposes, and tests new and revised designs at the network device and system level.
- The Network Engineer also measures, establishes baselines, and reports on network, server, and application systems.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's degree and two to four (2-4) years of related experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience Tracking and documenting network performance, capacity, and security.
- Experience designing Networks comprised of WAN, MAN, campus LAN and data center environments
- Experience interpreting network requirements; designs, develops, implements, and supports network devices and services to meet specific business requirements.
- Experience researching, analysing, proposing, and testing new and revised designs at the network device and system level.
- Experience setting performance guidelines to detect, log, notify users, and fix network problems.
- Experience with designing, creating, and building networks.
- Previous experience modifying or upgrading existing network experience would work also.
- Strong network design and/or network development experience.
- Experience using some of the following technologies in a design solution: Palo Alto Networks Firewall experience a plus, F5 Networks BigIP LTM and GTM, running 10.0.0 code and higher, Cisco Systems Routers, L2 & L3 Switches including Nexus line, Firewalls, and Wireless APs and Bridges.
