Network Design Consultant/Architect

NETWORK DESIGN CONSULTANT/ARCHITECT

Contract 3 months + initially

Our client is one of Australia's leading ICT services and solutions providers, spanning infrastructure services, business continuity and information management.

They have built a strong and significant reputation as a client focused ICT Solutions company based on a broad spectrum of competencies serving the 'end to end' business IT needs of large to medium Government, corporate, educational and institutional enterprises.

We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills for this client facing role.

You'll be providing technical design architecture activities to provide a successful future roadmap.

You'll undertake the overall strategy, architecture analysis, technical design, strategy documentation (high level architecture documentation) of LAN, WAN and Global networks incorporating technologies such as IP Telephony, Internet services, security, network management, backbone routing and switching and wireless data services - all with a very heavy Cisco presence.

The skills you will provide cover most of the following:

Proven Design skills
Excellent high level architecture documentation
Excellent Cisco Global pedigree for Networks, Voice and Network Security
Solid experience in system design, implementation, migration, support, Firewalls and security technologies would be nice
Ability to work unsupervised and independently, with a proven track record of success.
Excellent senior leadership, oral & written communication skills.
High Level interpersonal skills with Management, Staff, Contractors and Clients.
Candidates with extensive Cisco certifications would be highly regarded, as would candidates who have previously worked with global organisations from a strategy perspective or leading system integrators.
Outcomes will need to be presented to senior stakeholders portraying project timelines
