Network/Data Engineer

The successful candidate will support growth efforts. The growth activities include turn up of new network elements, upgrades to existing equipment and deployment of configuration changes needed to support increased customer growth. The key job functions include the development and deployment of specific network changes, coordination of work resources, communication to impacted parties, and data mining.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
The individual must be self driven, but also able to work with diverse teams spread throughout the country.
The position requires an excellent understanding of large IP Networks including protocols (OSPF, BGP, MPLS, SNMP, IGMP, ACLs, and QoS) and network security, network equipment from various vendors, OSS systems, and trouble isolation. 
The ability to develop and implement scripts is a desired skill.
This position will work in a 24x7 work center. The candidate must be able to work a day, mid, or night schedule depending on the needs of the business.
Previous experience with Alcatel-Lucent, Cisco, and/or Juniper equipment is desired.
The candidate must have a CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA or ANRS-1 certification or applicable experience.
Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience.
Call Center experience.
Cisco and Juniper Multi-Services Platforms.
Ethernet transport.
IP Data Networking.
IP routing technologies.
Layer 2 Switching concepts, Layer 3 IP Networking.
Microsoft Office Suites.
Relevant experience to assignment.
